In 2014, playwright, producer, and professor Dorothy Marcic embarked on a two-year mission to uncover the truth about her uncle LaVerne Stordock's violent death. On the surface, the case seemed closed with the confession of Stordock’s wife, Suzanne, but that turned out to only be the beginning. Marcic tells the story in her new book With One Shot: Family Murder and a Search for Justice.  Marcic will give a reading on March 29 at 7 pm at the Upper West Side Barnes & Noble (2289 Broadway at 82nd Street).
