Matt Schaer, a contributing writer for The New York Times Magazine, joins us to discuss his cover story, “The Long, Lonely Road of Chelsea Manning.” Schaer spent a week with Manning, learning the story behind her decision to leak classified documents in 2010. Manning received a 35-year sentence for the disclosures, but her sentence was commuted after seven years by President Obama. She discussed her imprisonment, and life after her release.
