Filmmakers Zeva Oelbaum and Sabine Krayenbühl join us to discuss their film “Letters from Baghdad.” The film explores the life of Gertrude Bell, a British explorer and political officer who helped create the modern state of Iraq after World War I and established the Iraq Museum. The film uses letters, photographs and video footage from Bell and others to tell the story in their own words.  "Letters from Baghdad" is now playing at the Angelika (18 W Houston St., at Mercer St.) and Village East Cinemas (189 2nd Ave., between 11th and 12th St.) through June 30th. The directors will be doing a Q&A on Sunday, June 25th at the Angelika Film Center after the 4:45 p.m. showing.
