Julie Ashton is one of the most respected and versatile casting directors in Hollywood working in television and film. She cut her teeth on the project that gave Academy Award winner Hilary Swank her first movie (“Karate Kid 2”), segued into working with casting legend Mike Fenton, who had been a part of some of the greatest films in history ("American Graffiti," "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest," "Raiders of the Lost Arc," and "Back to the Future"), and then transitioned into working with Steven Spielberg(“Alive”).  She has worked on some of the most prestigious projects in all genres, including big budget studio movies (“The Internship”), hybrid/scripted TV comedy ("Reno 911"), talk/variety shows (“Chocolate News,” and the Emmy Award winning “Wayne Brady Show”), kids television (“Suite Life with Zack and Cody”), sketch comedy (“MADtv” and “Blue Collar TV”), and half-hour scripted comedy (“2 Broke Girls,” “Lucky Louie,” and the Emmy Award winning “Arrested Development”).
