PHILIP ROSENTHAL is best known as the creator, writer, and executive producer for the one of the greatest sitcoms of all time… “Everybody Loves Raymond.” Born in Queens, New York… Phil started as an actor before shifting his focus to writing and producing on successful shows like “Coach” with Craig T. Nelson. He is the author of the best selling book “You're Lucky You're Funny: How Life Becomes a Sitcom,” directed president Bill Clinton in the white house correspondents dinner video, and co-wrote the 9/11 telethon “America: A Tribute To Heroes” …which aired on all four networks, won a peabody award, and was nominated for an emmy for outstanding writing. His first feature film for sony pictures, “Exporting Raymond,” which he wrote and directed, is the true story about the attempt to turn “Everybody Loves Raymond” into a successful Russian sitcom. Rosenthal still occasionally accepts acting roles…including memorable parts in the films “Spanglish” and “The Simpsons Movie,” as well as notable tv appearances in “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and “30 Rock.”
