Andrea di Robilant discusses his new book Autumn in Venice: Ernest Hemingway and His Last Muse. He tells the true story of Hemingway's love affair with both the city of Venice and the muse he found there. At age 50, he traveled to Venice for the first time with his fourth wife, but then met and fell in love with an 18-year-old Venetian woman named Adriana Ivancich. They ultimately traveled to Cuba together where he wrote his final masterpiece, The Old Man and the Sea. On June 6, Andrea will be in conversation with writer Susan Minot at Rizzoli Bookstore (1133 Broadway and 26th street) from 6-8pm. This event is co-sponsored by Rizzoli, the Italian Cultural Institute and Knopf. This segment is guest hosted by Jonathan Capehart.
