Director Domee Shi and producer Becky Neiman-Cobb talk about PIXAR’S newest short film, Bao. The animated film tells the story of an aging Chinese mother who gets another chance at motherhood when one of her dumplings springs to life. Chinese-Canadian-American Domee Shi is the first female director to produce a PIXAR short.
Bao is premiering at the Tribeca Film Festival. It will be showing on April 24 at 6 pm at Regal Cinemas Battery Park, on April 27 at 3:45 pm at Cinépolis Chelsea, on April 28 at 4:15 pm at Cinépolis Chelsea and on April 29 at 5 pm at Regal Cinemas Battery Park.
