As part of our Change-Makers Series, Felice Kirby joins us to discuss her forty years of activism in the Williamsburg/Greenpoint neighborhoods. She is the special projects director for the North Brooklyn Angels, a mobile soup kitchen serving free lunches to the working poor and retirees in the rapidly gentrifying but still mixed neighborhood. Kirby is the former owner of Williamsburg's oldest bar, Teddy's, and has organized small businesses to increase community input into the city's decisions about transportation, infrastructure, and affordability.
This segment is guest hosted by Cindy Rodriguez.
