Internationally best-selling author Isabel Allende joins us to talk about her latest novel In the Midst of Winter. Touching on themes of human rights and immigration, Allende weaves together the stories of three very different people from three very different times and places including Present-day Brooklyn, Guatemala in the recent past, and 1970s Chile and Brazil.
Isabel Allende will appear on Nov. 8 at the Open Book/Open Mind Series (Buzz Aldrin Middle School Auditorium, 173 Bellevue Ave., Montclair, NJ) at 7 p.m.
She will also appear on Nov. 9 at the Princeton Public Library (80 Sculptors Way, Hamilton, NJ) at 7 p.m.
