Electronic music that incorporates a lot of influence from jazz and so-called ambient music. Shigeto has worked with rappers from his hometown of Detroit and jazz musicians from New York, including the trumpeter Dave Douglas. This piece is a collaboration between Douglas’s group and Shigeto, and it’s called "Molten Sunset." Shigeto brings his mix of electronic atmospheres and jazzy interventions to the Music Hall of Willamsburg tonight.
