Now, The Sibelius Academy Symphony Orchestra is teaming up with the Juilliard Orchestra to celebrate Finland’s centennial, with a concert that includes Sibelius, as well as composer and conductor Esa Pekka Salonen, and the late American composer Steve Stuckey, who was inspired by Sibelius’s symphonies. Both the Sibelius Academy and Juilliard orchestras join forces under Esa-Pekka Salonen tomorrow night at Alice Tully Hall. One of the pieces the orchestras will play is this beautiful work by Sibelius called "The Swan of Tuonela."
