The Slavic-Baltic group called Pletai was born during an all-night jam session in Moscow. It consists of three Russian musicians and one Lithuanian-American, namely Abraham Brody. All four singers are deeply influenced by Baltic and Slavic folksong, but Brody is also inspired by the so-called minimalists like Philip Glass and Steve Reich. Those influences come together in this arrangement of a Russian song called Ya Gulyala Veselo (I walked Happy). his own Slavic-Baltic group Pletai
