Dale Henderson, internationally renowned cellist, joins us to discuss "Bach in the Subways" and perform live in our studio. Henderson began “Bach in the Subways” in 2010 when he took his cello into the subway as a way to connect more people with classical music. Henderson has since launched "Bach in the Subways" into an international movement where thousands of musicians across 40 countries perform pop-up concerts on Bach's birthday every year. Event: Dale Henderson, Elisabeth Remy Johnson, principal harpist with the Atlanta Symphony, will perform a program of works, folk dances, and folk songs by Ravel, Bartók, Vaughan Williams, Piazzolla and more on the back lawn of the Residence at Bloedel Reserve on Bainbridge (7571 N.E. Dolphin Drive, Bainbridge Island, WA 98110) on Sunday, Sept. 3 at 6:45pm. Doors are at 6 p.m.
