Prosecutors in Sweden announced yesterday that they were dropping rape charges against Wikileaks Founder Julian Assange. It’s not clear what the future holds for Mr. Assange, and what will happen when he leaves the Ecuadorian embassy. What we do know is that he has had an outsized role in shaping political events, and the political narrative, in this country. Last week, Leonard spoke with Laura Poitras about her latest documentary, “Risk,” which profiles Julian Assange and the Wikileaks group. So for our Bonus Weekend Podcast, we’ve decided to look back at some of the other important work that Ms. Poitras has produced.
