The satirical film tells the story of General Glen McMahon (Brad Pitt), who believes he can an end a long-running war. Inspired by the book The Operators by Michael Hastings, the film is loosely based around the rise and fall of United States Army General Stanley McChrystal during the war in Afghanistan. Reporters Nina Martin and Renee Montagne discuss their new piece, “The Last Person You’d Expect to Die in Childbirth." The NPR/ProPublica collaboration explores how the U.S. has the highest rate of maternal deaths in the developed world, even though the majority of them are preventable.
