Actors Jeremy Secomb and Siobhan McCarthy join us to discuss the new Tooting Arts Club production of Stephen Sondheim’s "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street." Based on a Victorian horror story, the musical tells the tale of an evil London barber named Sweeney Todd, played by Secomb, who kills his customers and robs them. McCarthy plays his partner in crime, Mrs. Lovett, who then chops up the victims and cooks them into meat pies, which she sells at her shop. Audience members are served meat pies and potatoes during this production.
Tickets are on sale through Aug. 13th. Playing at the Barrow Street Theatre (27 Barrow St. at 7th Ave. South). Info here.
