Merriam Webster has recently experienced a surge in popularity on social media in response to their tweets about politics and “alternative facts.” As Jesse Sheidlower said in a recent The New York Times article, "In times of stress, people will go to things that will provide answers. The Bible, the dictionary or alcohol."
