Miriam J. Laugesen, associate professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management at the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University, joins us to discuss her new book Fixing Medical Prices: How Physicians Are Paid. Filmmaker Emiko Omori joins us to discuss an exhibit of her work at MoMA titled, “Emiko Omori Retrospective: Rabbit in the Moon.” Min Jin Lee joins us to discuss her new novel Pachinko, which traces four generations of a Korean family. Daniel Karpowitz, director of policy and academics for the Bard Prison Initiative and lecturer in law and the humanities at Bard College, joins us to discuss his book, College in Prison: Reading in an Age of Mass Incarceration. He's joined by two graduates of the program, Anibal Cortes and Salih Israil.
