Dr. Bill Schutt, a vertebrate zoologist and researcher at the American Museum of Natural History, joins us to discuss his new book, Cannibalism: A Perfectly Natural History, which explains new research about a widespread behavior, including how the practice might be linked to the extinction of Neanderthals. His work dispels common myths about cannibalism among animals and humans, and looks at why sexual cannibalism can be an evolutionary advantage. Dr. Bill Schutt will be giving a talk on cannibalism, with a book signing to follow, at the American Museum of Natural History Kaufmann/Linder Theater at Central Park West & 77th St on Thursday, February 16th at 6:30pm.
