Internationally renowned soprano Renée Fleming joins us to discuss her latest album, “Distant Light,” which features music from Samuel Barber, Anders Hillborg and Björk. For this album, Fleming has chosen works in which music and poetry merge to create soundscapes, each piece evoking emotional states — nostalgia, unease, desire and joy. Renée's new album "Distant Light" will be released on Decca Classics on January 6th. She will perform at Carnegie Hall on February 20, 2017 with the Orchestre de Lyon. She will also be performing at the Metropolitan Opera beginning April 13 through May 13 in Strauss’s Der Rosenkavalier.
