ARTIST: Tord Gustavsen TrioGIG: Saturday at St. Peter's Church Pianist Tord Gustavsen has a deep interest in dialectical psychological theory and Sufi poetry – two interests that could keep a person involved for a lifetime. But Gustavsen’s “day job” is as a jazz musician – and he’s found ways to incorporate both complex ideas about psychology and the mystic poetry of Rumi into his latest release, What Was Said. This song is called “Journey of Life” and features the German-Afghan singer Simin Tander. The Tord Gustavsen trio features piano, vocals, and drums, and is performing tomorrow night at Saint Peter’s Church in mid-town.
