Lea Salonga talks about starring in the Broadway revival of Once on this Island, along with Lynn Ahrens, who wrote the book and lyrics. Based on the 1985 novel My Love, My Love: or The Peasant Girl by Rosa Guy, Once On This Island is set in the French Antilles archipelago in the Caribbean. It tells the story of a girl who uses the power of love to bring together people of different backgrounds and social classes. Once on this Island is playing at Circle in the Square Theatre (235 W 50th St. Midtown West).
