Neel Mukherjee talks about his new novel A State of Freedom. Set in contemporary India, he tells the stories of five characters in very different circumstances, including a domestic cook in Mumbai, a vagrant and his dancing bear and a girl who escapes terror in her home village for a new life in the city. Through these characters, he explores the many meanings of dislocation, intended or enforced, and the desire for more.  This segment is guest hosted by Arun Venugopal.
